KCAB INTERNATIONAL is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center (JIDRC). The agreement signed by Professor Hi-Taek Shin, Chairman of the KCAB INTERNATIONAL, and Yoshimitsu Aoyama, President of the JIDRC, states that both institutions will cooperate in the promotion and advancement of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the common goal of serving the needs of businesses. The signing of the MoU signifies the institutions’ efforts in promoting arbitration as a preferred method of dispute resolution in South Korea and Japan.
Pursuant to the MoU, the KCAB INTERNATIONAL and the JIDRC will conduct joint lectures, seminars and other events to promote the development and practice of international arbitration. Both institutions will be able to request for hearing facilities to ensure the better access to arbitration services in the region.
Professor Hi-Taek Shin, Chairman of the KCAB INTERNATIONAL, said, ‘’We believe that signing of the MoU will further strengthen already strong interaction and cooperation between Korean and Japanese arbitration communities.”
Professor Yoshimitsu Aoyama, President of the JIDRC, said, “I am very delighted JIDRC has concluded the Memorandum of Understandings with the KCAB INTERNATIONAL. As President of the JIDRC, I wish to promote hereafter the cooperation between
both of us in various stages. I am looking forward to seeing you in the near future in Seoul and Tokyo.”
